Merge the EX2 and EX2-Like guitars into one gallery

Post by Richard »

It seems pretty much like the EX-2-Like guitars from the "Specials" category on the site were the regularly documented EX-2 guitars during 1988, which then changed into the rather better known EX-2 type guitars by 1989.
Do you think the EX-2-Like guitars should be merged into the EX-2 gallery? And, no matter what the answer, what's the motivation for your answer?

Please answer the poll below and feel free to comment!

What is "EX-2 Like" guitars? Like the prototypes? Maybe the prototypes should have their own gallery since they aren't true EX-2 instruments.

EX-1 - bolt on guitars with solid colors
EX-2 set neck guitars with flamed maple tops

Prototypes - are they bolt-ons or set-neck? Are they colors not the same as the EX-1 solid colors?

Was there ever an EX-3? Or did the Elan take over for "souped up EX-2?"
